Do you ever truly hear the subtle silence of forest or field? A power exists to experience each aspect of that silence, each part that makes up the whole. You have the ability to turn those different aspects off and on, on and off, the ability to hear only the grasshoppers, only the chirps of the songbirds, the chipmunk nibbling a pine cone, the deciduous leaves clapping quietly in the wind, the sigh of the pine needles. Slowly separate the parts, know the intricacies of each, and play with their composition. It will make the silence so much deeper, layer upon layer upon layer, so much more captivatingly subtle in its wholeness.
